International Mathematics Conference: Maths Matters

We will be hosting our Annual Bellavista S.H.A.R.E. Conference: Maths Matters, on 12 and 13 July, 2023, in Johannesburg. We are thrilled to have confirmed two international professionals, namely Daniel Ansari and Judy Hornigold- absolute pioneers in the field of Mathematics research and education, as well as local heroes Setloago Manchidi and Benjamin Rosman.

The following areas will be explored over the two days ;

• • The latest research findings in mathematics and the science behind the development of mathematics and numerosity
  • The trajectory of Mathematics development as well as evidence-based practices and interventions in Mathematics
  • The concept and causes of Dyscalculia
  • Mathematics anxiety and how it links to performance
  • Teaching styles and co-occurring difficulties
  • Working memory and Mathematics

On the evening of the 12th July, we will be hosting a cocktail evening for all delegates and stakeholders to connect, mingle and network as well as time to explore offers from various exhibitors as well as a special performance by the St Katharine’s Girls Choir and Marimba band.
