Oh, how wonderful it was to see The Edge brimming to capacity. The auditorium was abuzz, and full of eager viewers, who were anticipating something. They weren’t quite sure what to expect, and maybe left after the show a little bit perplexed, but if you let the play take you on its journey, you must have left with a smile. For while it is a somewhat harrowing tale, of a cruel king and conniving counsellor, it is mostly a tale of friendship and perseverance. It reminds us that what is most powerful is love, what empowers us are stories and what refuels us is our capacity to hope.
For there is always something sweet to be had - a little Grade 1 bee flitting across the stage, a loyal and hardheaded goat, a friend when you feel completely alone, and a Junior School play to end off the term!
