Marist Brothers Linmeyer is delighted to announce that our Junior Councillors, Nomhle and Mulalo, both in Grade 11, had an unforgettable experience on the Junior Council Cape Town tour. This trip provided them with a unique opportunity to explore and learn about significant historical and cultural landmarks while bonding with their peers.
The tour was filled with exciting activities and educational experiences. Highlights included a lively performance at the Barnyard Theatre, setting the tone for an energetic and fun-filled trip. The students then visited Robben Island, gaining a profound understanding of South Africa's history and the enduring legacy of Nelson Mandela. Another poignant stop was the Cape Town Holocaust Centre, offering deep insights into the events of the Holocaust and the importance of tolerance and human rights.
Nomhle and Mulalo thoroughly enjoyed every moment, from the adventurous explorations to the enlightening educational tours. They expressed their gratitude for the chance to participate in such a meaningful and enriching experience.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this trip possible, including Ms. G. Verdonese, Junior Council Coordinator, and all those who supported the Junior Council initiative. Your efforts have provided our students with memories and lessons that will last a lifetime.
