Name Day with a special Mass

On Monday, 9 September 2024, Marist Brothers Linmeyer celebrated its Name Day with a special Mass. This occasion honours the birthday of Mary, the mother of Jesus. Our Marist Brothers school in Linmeyer, is also named Marian College after Mary, our patroness, and so we have this wonderful celebration on, or close to, 8 September each year.

In the Marist world, St Marcellin Champagnat founded the Little Brothers of Mary, known as the Marist Brothers, because of his devotion to Our Lady. We are proud to be part of the global Marist family, embracing a shared heritage that unites our schools around the world.

Name Day celebrations included our students and staff coming together for a joyful picnic after Mass, where friendship, delicious treats and the true essence of Marist Family Spirit filled the day.
