St Martin’s School 2024 Prefects

This morning in assembly, Mr Venter spoke to the incoming student leaders about leadership and the importance of being servant leaders. “In choosing our prefects for the upcoming year, they have been chosen not for their titles, but with the following expectations: a dedication to our school community, a willingness to listen, a commitment to showing empathy, and a commitment to making our school a better place for all. We expect each of them to embody the spirit of servant leadership that we find in the story of Jesus washing his disciples' feet. We also expect each of them to lead by example: they need to show a commitment to the life of the school, embodying the words of our school prayer: the grace of obedience, compassion for other, zeal for the truth, and a humble spirit.

Congratulations to the following students elected as prefects: Gaby Mthethwa, Nhlanhla Bucibo, Justin Rutherford, Christian Kabenge Nehema and Allanah White. Prefect portfolio’s and Head Prefects will be announced later in the year.
