The Good News

"Turn away from sin and believe in the Good News”. – Mark 1:15.
The Marist Brothers Linmeyer students, teachers and parents/guardians came together in faith to observe Ash Wednesday, a solemn occasion marking the beginning of Lent. During the Ash Wednesday Liturgy, students, teachers and parents/guardians received the ash, a symbol of penance, renewal and spiritual reflection.

The ashes, imposed in the shape of a cross, hold deep significance; a reminder to turn away from sin and embrace a life of faith, recognising  our human fragility and dependence on God’s grace and a commitment to prayer, fasting and almsgiving in preparation for Easter.
This sacred season invites us to strengthen our faith, practise self-discipline and draw closer to God. As we embark on this forty-day Lenten journey, we reflect on the Good News and the transformative power of faith and redemption.
