Learners from Treverton College took on the Wagendrift Challenge over the 1st weekend in February.
The Wagendrift Challenge comprises of either a standalone Trail Run, MTB or swim, a full distance or half distance Biathlon and triathlon, both of which are also offered in team formats.
Our Treverton Preparatory learners took on the Half Distance Triathlon, sopping out responsibilities for the 500m swim, 5km MTB and a 2.5km run.
The Treverton College students entered into an array of events with most of them claiming podiums in their respective races with the most notable coming from Jason Reineke who came first over-all in the full distance Triathlon.
The Wagendrift Challenge is a community event organised by Estcourt Round Table 34 to raise funds for local initiatives and Treverton College has been a firm supporter over multiple years bringing in students, parents, interns and staff.
The nature of the event speaks to many of Treverton's values, getting people outdoors and harboring family and community. We look forward to offering many more of these opportunities in the near future.
