We are a Christian-ethos school, but a pupil does not need to be Christian to attend Cannons Creek. Although we educate within the
Christian ethos, all faiths and denominations are accepted and valued. We nurture values which are accepted by people of faith and moral
fibre. During weekly assemblies, a message relating to a Biblical verse is presented; and all religions are discussed during Life Orientation.
Academically, Cannons Creek is the leading small school in the province and continuously strives for excellence by nurturing the highest
academic standards. Alongside several top schools in Cape Town, we write the NSC Matric exams. Our Matric results have consistently
been excellent - with a 100% pass rate achieved each year. Some of our subject marks are in the top percentile of the Peninsular.
Practical Music tuition is offered by specialist teachers in Piano, Violin, Flute, Guitar, Drumkit, and Singing.
There are Marimba bands, String Ensemble, Girls’ Vocal Ensemble, and Glee Club, for musicians to join.
We promote a culture of involvement and excellence; our staff are passionate about sport participation and all
our pupils participate enthusiastically in the extra-murals offered at our school. Sports available are: Softball,
Cricket, Squash, Indoor Hockey, Netball, Running Club, and Outdoor Hockey.
Cannons Creek High School offers one Academic and one Music Scholarship for pupils in
Grade 7 wishing to apply to Cannons Creek High School for Grade 8.
