Stanford Lake College is a “Christian ethos” school which welcomes pupils from different cultures, religions, races and languages.
Stanford Lake College prides itself on developing independent thinkers who will have the cognitive skills to access life-long learning. In grades 8 and 9, the academic programme is delivered within the Round Square Discovery Framework where the focus is on teaching skills rather than content alone. Stanford Lake College prepares learners for the university entrance examinations of the Independent Examinations Board (IEB). This examination allows learners entry into local and international institutions of higher learning.
Stanford Lake College boasts a day scholar house and five boarding houses, where each house is supervised by a senior house parent who has a residence attached to the boarding house. Seventy percent of learners at Stanford Lake College are boarders. The boarding houses are modern and comfortable and every effort is made to ensure that your child’s time at the College is both happy and productive.
Stanford Lake College students have the opportunity to represent the school in a number of cultural activities annually including a Cultural Extravaganza, two eisteddfods, debating competitions as well as participating in external music and drama examinations.
Stanford Lake College offers a wide range of traditional as well as adventure sporting opportunities for all students. BOur students are taught to compete with purpose, striving for excellence and always within the school’s value system of fair play and sportsmanship.
