Religious
Waterfall College is founded on Christian values and ethics. Teachers model Christian values such as tolerance, kindness and respect, and weekly assemblies include a Bible reading and prayer. The Student Christian Association (SCA) gives students the opportunity to share and explore their faith, while the ‘Moms Who Pray’ play a significant role in the life of the school, as they meet weekly to pray for the needs of our community.

At Waterfall College, we aim to cultivate responsible, hard-working, independent thinkers. We develop young adults of distinction who are tolerant of individual differences and willing to make a positive contribution as they strive for excellence in their respective careers. Through our small classes, with a maximum of 24 students, high academic standards are maintained and each child benefits from individual attention, allowing potential to flourish. Our staff are renowned for their dedication and knowledge, and contribute to the development of their subjects with other local independent schools. We also have a number of teachers who have been selected as senior markers for the IEB. Subjects include: English Home Language, Afrikaans or isiZulu first additional language, Mathematics, Mathematics Extended Programme, Mathematical Literacy, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Accounting, Engineering Graphics and Design (EGD), Business Studies, History, Geography, Consumer Studies, Dramatic Arts, Design and Life Orientation.

Day School

Waterfall College encourages participation in extra-mural cultural activities including Toastmasters, Rotary Team Talk, the very popular HOPE outreach club and Musical Theatre Club. The Drama Department has added subject-specific expertise to this growth, with a popular annual drama production. There are a variety of excursions throughout the year aimed at enriching the lives of students by providing cultural experiences. These include dramatic performances, guest speakers and life skills development.

The sports programme at Waterfall College encourages a healthy lifestyle and a culture of team spirit. The school focuses on areas that enable the students to compete regularly using the facilities on campus. This offering complements the multitude of external sports available to students through community clubs. Current school sporting activities include: Karate, Sevens Rugby, Hockey, Cross Country, Soccer and Netball.
