Conquesta Academic Olympiads are multiple choice question papers which challenge grades 1 - 9 learner knowledge in the various subjects in the curriculum (like a written quiz), and enables Educators to measure learners' abilities against the national and international averages (computed from participating schools). Most papers are available in Afrikaans as well.

Conquesta was established in 1998, and 2023 marks our 25th anniversary of being of service to schools in and around South Africa.
Annual Olympiads
We provide annual academic Olympiads for students in grades 1 - 9 at schools across South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, and eSwatini (Swaziland), written in the second half of the year. Our carefully selected Educators currently teach the subjects and grades of the papers they set. Conquesta provides everything schools need for the Olympiads via courier (schools in South Africa) / email (schools outside South Africa), including full instructions for educators and personalized papers for each participant. No educator training is required. Each participant receives a certificate, regardless of their results.
Benchmarking
We place the national averages of participating schools on our website for you to compare your results to. We also provide participating schools with results statistics for grades 4 - 9 Maths, Science and Technology by sub-category, to highlight the school's areas of strengths and weaknesses.
Top 20 Schools
We select the 20 schools with the highest results in each subject and grade, to appear on our annual Top 20 Schools List. This gets placed on our website.
Past Papers
Our past papers are a wonderful resource for busy teachers and parents to aid with revision, both in the classroom and at home. They are available throughout the year.
